Quick guide: digital product passport, QR scan, and verifiable timestamp.

What is a digital product passport?

D3 Passport hosts a digital product passport (DPP) for textiles and similar goods — public product data (e.g. origin, composition, CO₂) at a stable URL, aligned with ESPR and CEN DPP standards.

Scan a QR code / Digital Link

Product QR codes open a GS1 Digital Link on the short host d3dpp.com (path /01/{gtin}, optionally with batch or serial). No login is required to view the public passport.

Verifiable timestamp

On publish, D3 Passport obtains an RFC 3161 timestamp. The public passport page shows whether the stored token still matches the current passport data — an integrity proof, not an eIDAS-qualified timestamp (QTSA).

For manufacturers & brands

Create products, publish, download QR codes, and connect Shopify in the dashboard. Detailed operator guidance is under Dashboard → Help after sign-in.

What this pilot is (not) yet

D3 Passport is the DPP host: data, versions, QR/Digital Link, and RFC 3161 timestamps. Not part of the standard offer yet: automatic EU DPP Registry registration (Art. 13), independent Art. 10(4) backup with a third party, Verified by GS1, or eIDAS-qualified timestamps. The dashboard shows Registry as “not configured”. The economic operator may register later with their own QSeal.
